Enjoy more time with your hens and less time washing their eggs! Colorado Law requires that eggs be washed prior to selling for consumption. This egg washer safely uses air to flow water gently to clean up to 8 dozen eggs at a time. You may select to purchase as a complete kit, or if you already have a bucket, water proof basket,  and  air compressor, order the egg washer assembly seperate.
 
How to use:
1. Use the wire basket to collect eggs from your chicken coop(s).
2. Fill the 5 gallon bucket with 2.5 gallons of 100°F water if planning to consume or resell eggs.  For eggs intended for hatching, water tempature should be between 75°F - 85°F.
3.  Add 1/2 ounce of CareFree Enzymes egg cleaner (sanitizes the shell, is all natural and doesn't penetrate the egg shell nor destroy the natural egg shell bloom). This Egg washing solution can be purchased directly from us to pick up at the same time as the rest of your order or can be found on Amazon and shipped to your home.  We include a free bottle when purchasing the complete kit with air compressor.
4. Attach your air compressor to the egg washer assembly and use the ball valve or your air compressor regulator adjustments to provide the perfect water pressure.  You want a gentle bubble to circulate the water solution to clean your eggs but not so strong that you crack your egg shells.
5. Let the system  run  for 3 -10 minutes until eggs are clean for consumption.  For hatching eggs, limit cleaning cycle to 3 minutes.  Empty water with cleaning solution and run a new cycle with just water to rinse. 
6. Dry the eggs.  Refridgerate for longer shelf life.  
 
The egg washer does an excellent job at cleaning eggs in little time.  You can easily walk away and do other tasks while it runs it's cycle.   If you have stubbron dirt on a few eggs you may need to wipe it off while the eggs are still wet. If the egg washer is not able to remove the dirt/ debrie on your eggs it is a sign that the ladies nest boxes need to be cleaned.  Renew their nesting box material to give the girls a cleaner laying enviornment.
