BANTAM BREED CHICKENS

While bigger is better, is commonly thought of, that’s certainly not the case with bantam chickens.  Children interested in 4H or other chicken shows find the smaller chickens easier to carry/ handle.  Bantams offer plenty of advantages for especially for children chicken keepers.  They consume less feed,  produce less waste, and are more economical to raise. Bantam chickens are a great option for urban environments where space is limited. They have amusing personalities and are filled with life and vigor. They are great pets and provide plenty of entertainment.  Their eggs are smaller (about one and a half to two bantam eggs to equal a full-sized egg).  Easy for smaller children to collect and consume. 
Bantams also make excellent mothers.
